Join us for a virtual painting class that is perfect for all skill levels. The instructor will guide you step by step through replicating the class painting while offering different options for the varied skill levels. The featured piece captures the lifeguard tower on our beach.
You may purchase a supply package from the Carpinteria Arts Center for $20, or you can use your own supplies. Select the option best for you in the "Choose an Option" box before proceeding to checkout.
- 16 x 20 canvas (any size canvas that you have at home to use is possible)
- 7 colors of acrylic paint: white, black, yellow, green, blue, red, brown
- 2 paint brushes, one larger flat brush and one small detail brush is minimum needed

More about the instructor: Tammy Gilkey is a digital and fine artist with a passion for impacting society for the good with quality artwork. With a deep intrigue for the psychology of how people respond to artwork, Tammy approaches her art with a sincere interest in the viewer’s perspective and effectively communicating a positive message. Tammy began her art career working with high risk youth teaching art and art therapy. After getting her masters in media design, she now works for LinkedIn Learning as an instructional visual designer. Outside of her full-time job as a motion graphics designer, her passion is oil painting.
Program Cancellations and Refund Policy:
In the event that you are unable to attend a class or tour, a full refund for registration fees may be issued if your request is received at least 45 days before your program start date. If your request is received within 44 to 11 days of your program start date we will refund 50%. If you need to cancel within 10 days or less, unfortunately no refund can be issued. Certain programs and events are transferable to another person. If a program is cancelled by the The Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, we will issue a full refund. Please be aware that some programs are non-refundable and this information will be specifically noted in the program description.
