Join Cathy and learn the basic skills of watercolor painting in order to complete a beautiful painting.  Students will learn basic washes, color mixing, wet into wet techniques and glazing.  In addition, techniques to create texture, make objects look three dimensional and to  make amazing clouds in watercolor will be covered.  Demonstration, lecture and multiple exercises in class will give you the skills to paint a painting in watercolor.  Fun and informative!

  • Please bring your basic watercolor painting materials:
    • Brushes 
    • Palette
    • Paper (Arches Watercolor Paper)
    • Towels
  • Masking Tape
  • Straight Edge Razor
  • Frisket
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Sketchbook or 10 sheets computer paper
  • Toothbrush
  • Salt
  • Water container
  • Support Board/foam core
