Description from the Artist:
I was experimenting with glazes when making this driftwood pot. My efforts resulted in a finish that felt like the swirling of fire, smoke and water reminiscent of volcanic forces I'd seen in Hawaii. The driftwood accent then became the symbol of rebirth and a lasting tribute to the tree it once was.
