Description from the Artist:
Ceres is from a portfolio of work I created a few years ago after reading Joseph Campbell's books, "The Power of Myth" and "The Hero With a Thousand Faces". I became fascinated and obsessed with ancient cultures and mythology and this was also a time in my career when I was beginning to experiment and explore the new and fascinating digital world. Embracing Photoshop techniques with layering, collage and unique printing was the perfect fit for this body of work. The work was initially shown in a solo exhibition in Santa Barbara, and two of the images are now in the permanent collection of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
