Sashiko
Saturday, April 15, 10:00 AM – Noon
Presenter: Christie Boyd
Sashiko (meaning “little stabs”) is a very simple stitching technique that originated in Japan over 400 years ago and is a popular form of decorative reinforcement stitching. The class will make a small, take-home project and all materials will be provided. You will learn how to do a basic sashiko mend on an item of worn clothing. Feel free to bring a torn pair of jeans for sashiko patching instruction.
Price: $40/$36 for members
