SMALL TOWN BIG APPETITE Book

SMALL TOWN ART PUBLICATIONS, a nonprofit entity (FEIN 87-3602220), is the parent entity behind these fun, imaginative books that celebrate the arts within our small town of Carpinteria, California. Small Town Big Art celebrates 100 important local artists of Carpinteria. Small Town Big Appetite honors the local mom and pop restaurants of Carpinteria, sharing their favorite recipes and paired up randomly with local artists.

THE BOOK TEAM: Christie Boyd, Marco Rigonati, Janey Cohen, Lea Boyd, Ingrid Bostrom, and David Powdrell are the creatives behind these two books.

THE NEW RELEASE: Small Town Big Appetite is the newest book scheduled for release on March 20, 2025.

UNDERWRITERS AND VOLUNTEERS: Small Town Big Appetite was generously underwritten by Lynda Fairly, La Centre Sumerlin, Amanda McIntyre, and Marty Selfridge. The book team, artists and restaurants volunteered their time to create these books.

BENEFICIARIES AND DONATIONS MADE TO DATE: The Small Town Big Art book generated over $40,000 in net proceeds for the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, the sole beneficiary of that first book. The beneficiaries of Small Town Big Appetite will be split evenly between the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center and the Santa Barbara Food Bank, anticipated to be not less than $12,500 each.

BOOK PRICE: Each book sells for $50 plus $4.50 in sales tax for a total of $54.50.

SHIPPING: We’ll ship if we need to, but that’s an additional cost of $10. Honestly, we’d prefer not to ship books. We hope that locals buy the book.

LIMITED PRODUCTION: We have printed only 500 copies of Small Town Big Appetite. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

RESERVE YOUR COPY HERE: Sign up to reserve your copy of the book on the signup sheet. We need to know (a) number of copies wanted, (b) your name, (c) your email address, and (d) your phone number.
