The Carp RockSTARs Garden (named by Terri Quiroz Somber) is an inspired collaboration between the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center and rock painting hobbyists CARP ROCKS!, a group of people in and beyond Carpinteria who spread joy and kindness by painting, hiding, and finding rocks. The CARP ROCKS! Facebook group started January 2020 when founder Becki Norton traveled and was inspired by another town that hides rocks.
You can find the Carp RockSTARs Garden outside the courtyard of the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, at 865 Linden Avenue in Carpinteria. We welcome you to leave painted rocks in our garden in honor of people, businesses, and anything that inspires you!

CARP ROCKS! reminds rock artists to purchase rocks from a local garden center such as Carpinteria Valley Lumber or online shops. This is to keep our beaches and natural environments intact, resiliant, and of course, naturally sandy. Thank you for considering the environment and city ordinance!
