The Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center hosted an international art exchange for peace free community workshop Sunday on March 6th. The Global Art Project for Peace is an international art exchange that connects people around the world who choose to create and share a vision of global peace.

Local artist, Brecia Kralovic-Logan helped the (30) attendees create a colorful peace banner representing the Carpinteria community vision of peace. Using the color palette of the beach, participants dyed silk fabric strips and decorated them with messages of peace.

Brecia Kralovic-Logan will then use each strip to create a tapestry that will be displayed at the Carpinteria Arts Center.

The Carpinteria banner will be sent to the Global Art Project for Peace to a Global Art Project exchange partner organization and the Arts Center will receive an art project from them.
