Global Art Project for Peace Workshop

Carpinteria, CA - The Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center is participating in the 2022 international art exchange for peace and is offering a free community workshop Sunday, March 6th, 1 – 4 PM. The Global Art Project for Peace is an international art exchange that connects people around the world who choose to create and share a vision of global peace.

Local artist, Brecia Kralovic-Logan will lead this community event. Participants will create a colorful peace banner representing our Carpinteria community vision of peace. Using the color palette of the beach, participants will dye silk fabric strips and decorate them with messages of peace. Each strip will be added to a collective art banner that will be displayed at the arts center.

The Carpinteria art banner will be sent to our Global Art Project for Peace exchange partner organization in April, and the Arts Center will then receive an art project from them.

The public is invited for a fun afternoon of creativity and camaraderie. For additional information on the global project, please visit www.globalartproject.org.
