Create a handled-platter or large plate with the slab building technique. At the leather hard stage, you will coat the plate in an underglaze color and then carve away a design of your choice to contrast the color of the clay underneath. Your platter will get bisque fired and then dipped in transparent glaze for a striking, glossy finish! This class will take place in the ceramic studio at Carpinteria High School. All materials included.
