Description from the Artist:

I've always loved fog. It's kind of cozy.  And here in Carpinteria, we usually see the sun start to peek through the fog by noon.  That always makes me happy.  This piece is an exploration of foggy greys and plums with a hint of warm tones peeking through.  I love painting on wood panels because it allows me to vigorously sand and scrape between layers of paint.  The plum color felt too strong at various points in the process, so I knocked it back with lighter glazes. The result feels like the sun peeking through the fog.
