Description: The elegant beauty of Siamese fighting fish suggests a graceful ballet, yet as their name suggests, they are fierce enough to chase a kingfisher from the water. Although this is unlikely to occur in real life, art allows us to imagine any scenario. This began with a monotype print of the water and sky. Then I inked stencils to suggest shadows of the fish, over which I laid collage images of the fish and bird. Finally, I used a rubber stamp to suggest watery spray.
