Description: Driving through Carpinteria, you can't help but notice the beautiful white church on the corner of Maple & 8th. It was built originally in Santa Barbara in 1880. In 1892, it was cut into 3 sections, each loaded onto a horse-drawn flatbed and moved 12 miles to its current location. Even the stained glass survived the trip!
