On the Way to Picnic Island

Description: Using layers and layers of oil paint and cold wax, occasionally scraping through to the history of my layers, I get so much satisfaction from the depth that emerges with this process. I was inspired to capture a memorable Mexico boat trip with the cliffs in the distance. We named it Picnic Island because we were anxious to enjoy our lunch.
