Description from the Artist: Surfers watch the waves, while artists watch the surfers. As a watercolor artist facing the dire stunts that water performs on paper, I get awestruck by the precision of the surfers' dynamic dance. The organic forms the physical body shapes itself in order to become one with the wave is incredible. This artwork celebrates the victory of human grace over the element and our ability to shape chaos around us. Few forms and a minimal palette seek to demonstrate the depth of the intention and the intensity of focus that overcoming greater things requires of us.
