Description: "Community" is a ceramic sculpture of seals fluidly swimming through coastal kelp beds. This richly textured piece is created from multi-colored clay bodies, burnished components, and subtly glazed with iron oxide stains, turquoise crackle glaze, and minimal colors for the shells and sea stars nestled within its structure. "Community" is part of a larger body of work called "Gaia's Children".
