Description: The Carpinteria Salt Marsh is such a special part of this town. I always love spending time there. I started this painting on location and finished it later in my studio. It was a peaceful morning, and I was lucky enough to have a Great Blue Heron show up and strike a pose along the water's edge. The distant mountains and calm reflections added to the quiet beauty of the scene.
