Description: "Church on the Corner" was inspired by the Carpinteria Baptist Church at Maple Avenue and 8th Street. Its tall steeple and beautiful stained-glass windows make it a charming landmark in the community. Compositionally, I like the way the lighter portion of the road leads the eye across the street toward the church, while the small pop of red curb underlines the focal point of the entry and steeple.
