Artist: Kellen Meyer
Medium: Fiber art, wool, and raw stones
Dimensions: 21H x 17W x 3D

Description: A sculptural fiber art piece emerges from the ongoing exploration of the ocean's edge, the shifting boundary between land and sea. Inspired by free diving, wandering shorelines, and peering into tide pools, this piece draws on moments of encounter with forms both familiar and mysterious. Wool is used to reference organic phenomena of marine life, currents, and coastal geology through created and found elements such as abalone shells, sea urchins, and raw stones. Rooted in observation yet transformed through making, the work reflects a fascination with the depths: places of wonder, mystery, and continual discovery.
