Milky Way Over the Salt Marsh

Medium: Photography
Dimensions: 24H x 36W x 1D

Description: The Milky Way arches over the Carpinteria Salt Marsh, a single-shot capture from one of the last pockets of darkness left along our coast. This image exists only because the marsh stays dark; a few miles in any direction, artificial light would erase the galaxy overhead. It's a portrait of what we still have, and how fragile it is. To see our own galaxy, all we have to do is protect the dark.
