Description: The Desert Peach is a shrub native to eastern California. It's in the rose family, with tiny reddish-orange fruit, and grows naturally in both forests and deserts. I've captured the surprisingly vibrant essence of these little flowers using the ancient, nature-focused Japanese tradition called Kusakizome (plant dyeing). I've framed it with acid-free paper, archival linen mounting, and Acrylite Gallery UV-filtering plexiglass. This delicate silk art should be displayed away from direct sunlight.
