Description: Patterns of colors echo through the mind as sound waves echo off the varied surfaces of the walls of a cave. The mind interacts with these patterns of color, altering them. They are then observed by the consciousness, not as what they truly are, but as how they are after the mind has altered them. Repeating patterns are found everywhere in nature. Echos of Color. Oil colors were painted in thin and thick (impasto) layers on linen sized and stretched by hand using traditional methods. The feeling of the undulating sea was expressed through color, line, and texture.
