Description: This is one of my favorite sunset spots. It's from the highway, just north of Pismo as the 101 turns in from the coastline. Avila Beach fades into the distance, and the sun always sets in a fiery final burst of color, shrouded by evening mist on the horizon and caught in bright colors on the wispy clouds above. Captured with a palette knife in oil on cradled wood panel.
