Description: Monarch's Choice began as a plein air study at the Carpinteria Community Garden during a painting class, though I didn't complete the drawing on site. I later finished the piece at home, working from my initial sketch and reference photos. The painting captures a monarch butterfly visiting zinnias in the garden.
