Description: This photograph was taken from a Cessna airplane during Hurricane Marie, when Rincon was packed with surfers. From above, I was drawn to the luminous color of the water and the tiny figures below, surfers scattered like brushstrokes across the wave, their boards adding flashes of color. The aerial perspective transformed a familiar break into something entirely new.
